![]() Nevertheless, Unstoppable Gorg’s aesthetics and art design is awesome and make up for the lack of modern technical/graphical features. Players can zoom-in and admire the detailed spacecrafts and satellites, although I have to say that I’d expected a bit more eye-candy from Futuremark. Therefore – and as an indie tower defense game – Unstoppable Gorg looks great and is easy on the eyes. After all, this is a tower defense game, so we’ll have to judge it with that in mind. Graphics wise, the game does not push any boundaries. ![]() You take the role of Captain Adam and your job is quite simple to stop once and for all the Unstoppable Gorg. However, those aliens are not friendly at all and start attacking our beloved blue planet. Humans discover an alien civilization and try to make contact. And although this approach is pretty evident at the later levels of Unstoppable Gorg, it’s still a lot of fun. You see, most of the Tower Defense games require a ‘trial and error’ approach and… well… I hate that. And when I got the chance to,actually play it, I liked and enjoyed it, even though I’m not a fan of this genre. But when I found out that Unstoppable Gorg would be a Tower Defense game, I got disappointed. Although their first game, Shattered Horizon, didn’t meet a commercial success and its fan base was really small, it was amazing, addictive and full of great ideas. Needless to say that I was excited when I heard that the company was preparing a new game. Mouse acceleration when you aim Oh god this one got me on the brink of uninstalling, it sucks and is wonky to aim with the gun, luckily you dont do it too much.Futuremark is a talented studio. THQ got disolved, not getting more games based around this game sadly (not too linked to the game itself tho). Some models dont look all that great, it tends to get a bit repetitive seeing the oompthiest rock golem trying to kill you. Of course it has its flaws (camera, I'm looking at you O.O) but it's not as bad as many people portray it.Yeah the camera is still kinda wonky after like 1.2k hrs spent on the game (just started pvping this month :P) i have to admit killing tequatl is one of the most fulfilling moments in my gaming life :P! getting to kill him with my guild once a week is always fun, it's a hard but rewarding fight.īeautiful game in terms of design, reminds me of TLOZ (and well everybody says so :P!), the gameplay is fluid and interesting with all the rpg elements combined, if you like diablo-torchlight-PoE and action/adventure style in the lines of zelda meets dmc then you're on for a ride. I just reached level 50 and don't know how motivated I'll be on level 80 but so far I'm reaaaaally loving it. After 8 years of World of Warcraft (still playing), and trying tons of other MMOs (Tera, Rift, Aion and so on), I never thought any other MMO could be that much fun. ![]() My god I can't believe how captivating this game is. I haven't finished the campaign yet, so my final score could go up or down from 7. Couple this with the 60s sci-fi B-movie theme (including B-movie cut scenes), and you get a quirky tower defense with some good humor (assuming you like old 60s B-movies). You place your "towers" into certain spots in an orbit around your base, which can be rotated around. Unstoppable Gorg - 7 - Its a goofy tower defense game, with an interesting mechanic. I'd probably rate it 8.5, but the way the side missions are set up, forcing you to constantly go in and out of the VR simulation, got very annoying very quickly. I'd say SR4 is about on par with SR3, but the added super powers added quite a bit of fun to an already entertaining game. The soundtrack was pretty good overall, and the use of certain songs throughout the game added to the humor (especially if you know the songs). The side activities, while fun, were still fairly limited in variety, something I still miss from Saints 2. I also enjoyed the throwbacks to earlier games, like Streets of Rage and text adventures. While I think the overall story wasn't as good as the previous games, the writing more than made up for it. Saint's Row 4 - 8/10 - An admittedly guilty pleasure, but the controls were good, the writing was great, and the gameplay was quite fun. I do think the game was a bit too short, and as such the ending didn't wasn't as impactful as it could have been, had the game been 2-3 hours longer. Brothers: Tale of Two Sons - 8.5/10 - Interesting controls, great visuals and art direction, decent music (though the song with the weird singing got annoying), and a memorable story.
